Stock Images: “My Stock”

What is “My Stock”?

Our site has two aspects to it: a Stock side and an Assignments side.  Stock searches and purchases are handled through your “My Stock”, while your Assignments images are accessed via your “My Shoots”.  You must be signed-in (Duke User) or registered (Non-Duke user) to take full advantage of either My Shoots or My Stock.

Once you are signed-in, or registered, to our site, you will have access to the following choices (among others) listed on the top of the site pages:
My Shoots  |  My Stock  |  My Cart…

By clicking “My Stock”, you will have access to the following areas pertaining to the search, review and purchase of our Stock images:

My Favorites | My Cart | My Purchases

My Favorites: This area makes it easy for you to collect and keep track of those images you liked best, interested you or met some search criteria.  To add images from a search to your “My Favorites”, simply click on [Add to Favorites] beneath the thumbnail of that image.

My Cart: This is the shopping cart where you collect your final selection of images in preparation for purchase and downloading.  You can either add images here directly from your search results, or from your My Favorites, by clicking on [Add to Cart] beneath the image(s) of your choice.

My Purchases: Once you have selected an image, placed it into your cart, and purchased it via procurement card, the High Resolution version is placed here in your “My Purchases” for download.  You may then download the high resolution version of the image(s) whose use you have just purchased by clicking on the [Download] button.

This feature allows you to peruse, decide and purchase images while away from your desk or a high speed connection, then download the large high res image later at your discretion.

Purchases of images from our stock photography collections are for one-time use only. Any subsequent use requires approval from Duke University Photography and will result in new charges. Clients are not allowed to distribute, sell, or share any images produced by this office unless negotiated beforehand. Clients are not free to share these images with other organizations or units within Duke.
